Finally these men said, “We will never
find any basis for charges against this Man Daniel unless
it has something to do with the laws of his God” (bold &Italics
mine) Daniel 6;5
And they did!
They got the king to issue an edict
and enforce a decree to the effect that anyone who prays to any god
or man in the next thirty days except the King was to be thrown into the lions’
den.
Sure enough, the edict was issued, this Man Daniel got to learn it had been published and went home to do what he knew best. Pray and give thanks to his God not once but his usual three times a day! That most certainly won him a free ticket to an overnight rendezvous at the Lions’ Den Lodge!
Let’s take a test now,
You may be wondering what this story
is all about. Before we get in there, I have some questions for you. On a scale
of 1 to 10
- When you wake up every morning, how excited are you get to work, school, gym etc?
- At the end of the day, how happy are you with your achievements?
- How many other lives are being changed for the better by what you do?
- Would you be willing to be thrown into the lions’ den courtesy of what you do?
- What is your total score out of 40?
- How exciting is the total score?
Stay with me a little longer
If you are not excited about
jetting to work ( ideally it should be play not work), you are not doing what
you love(Your passion). You better get your pulse on what excites you and
invest in it. What about discovering what you are passionate about
in " My Inside Out Lifestyle Design " Program.
Man Daniel had a burning passion for the laws of his
God.
If you are doing what makes your heart sing, question 2 does not stress you unless you are not practicing what this Man Daniel did-giving thanks or gratitude. That is what I call “passion fuel”. Being happy and grateful for who you ARE NOW and what you HAVE NOW as you ASK and WORK for more.
Is the life being changed by what you do only yours? Then you will get frustrated pretty soon. Make it your goal to change as many lives, get your life purpose and a legacy to boot. As you change your life, be the “changing lives junkie”!
Now to what I consider the most
exciting part of the story.......
The king had to honour his decree but note what happens next. He goes back to his palace but he does not eat, goes without entertainment, can’t sleep, and takes off to the lions’ den at the crack of dawn.
He calls out to Man Daniel (surely what did he expect to happen to a guy packing with a pack of hungry lions?) who politely and confidently responds that his God sent Angels to protect him. WOW!
You need passion angels to protect
your passion. Activate them when, as they say, “things are elephant’. My top 10
passion angels (the 1-2-7s);
- 1 giant positive mindset-no matter what
- 2 elaborate game plans- life plan and business/career plan
- 7 Be-attitudes- Action, gratitude, conviction, discipline, commitment, dedication and devotion
And when you persistently and
courageously face and overcome the hungry lions(failed ideas, relationships,
products or services, barriers and obstacles), please note the conclusion in
verse 28 of this story__
“Daniel prospered……..”
